My name is Stephen, I’m 29 and live in Pretoria, south Africa. I have been a designer for three years but I have been drawing stuff my whole life. Currently I am working as a designer/Illustrator for a kid’s magazine. I’m also currently busy with a BVA (Bachelor of visual art) degree.

I grew up on comic books and computer games, in fact I think I learned to read from comic books! It was only when I was much older that found out that you can, as a concept artist, come up with the Characters you see in computer games or get into the 3D side of things and make those Characters come to life... As long as you know how and have a computer!

This is reason I have started this site, apart from getting my portfolio live, it is also an attempt to give anyone who wants to get into the world of digital art a place to start. I’m not qualified to give any artistic advice (yet), but you will find links to places where the masters can be found! People like Jason Chan, who has done concept art for games like Warcraft™, and Conceptart.org, which is jam packed with talented artists. Have a look at these guys work and then when you’re all excited go and click on the links that will take you to the tutorials.

There are also courses available that will get you to where you want to be! I will be adding those links soon!

The only advise I can give is practice, practice, practice..... and eat your veggies!

Stick with it and eventually you will get there!
